| This unit is
a bale cutting machine (guillotine) type 1300/75 with 60-hp
motor, powered two hydraulic cylinders, giving a total
cutting force of 75 tons. Horizontal shaft with
guiding racks to keep knife on axis. Knife-holder
sliding on bronze plates. The cutting knife, made of
special high-resistance steel, is controlled by a double
push-button safety system when operating manually.
Down lifting time 16 seconds = 75 mm/second or about 3
in/second, up lifting time 8 seconds = 150 mm/second or 6
in/second giving a total time for one cutting of 24 seconds.
