Pre-shredder is powered by a 3-hp motor, the hammermill is
powered by a 25-hp motor - 220/440 volts. The conveyor is
stainless steel including an electric peristaltic injector.
The pre-shredder and hammermill are steel, the feed hopper
is stainless steel. Destruction capabilities include:
containerized medical waste, sharps, surgical waste,
pathological waste, laboratory waste. Features:
microbiological effectiveness -- extensive tests conclude
immediate and total destruction and decontamination of
medical waste materials; operator safety is assured through
the use of negative air pressure and HEPA filtration,
preventing exposure to aerosolization; fast, on-demand
processing of either individual containers or large volumes
of infectious wastes; effective sharps destruction --
needles and scalpels are crushed, broken, and blunted.
Glass is returned to a sand-like material; decontaminated
and unrecognizable granular debris can be economically
disposed of in the sanitary landfill; user maintains a
